SeptiTect
SeptiTect has numerous advantages as the future of patient monitoring. We pride ourselves on our sustainable, invisible design with limitless potential for application across healthcare.
Invisible design
Once implanted our design is lightweight and invisible, offering patients comfort and overall improving the quality of life for those requiring constant monitoring. There will be no trace left on the skin (unless the wearer designates otherwise) and a light will only be visible when alerting the patient.
Sustainability
Our product is designed to last 2-5 years within the body then degrade naturally, producing little to no waste. In terms of sustainability, when considering the medical waste produced by continual testing when monitoring chronic patients, our device will minimise this base wastage for a greener tomorrow.
No memory/routine required
Our product is ideal for elderly patients or children especially with no consistent routine testing required. This optimises quality of life and allows those suffering to return to normal life with minimal interference. It could have a huge impact in nursing homes or hospices as such.
Emergency
Our product can help prepare patients in emergent cases, beginning to flash at warning signs then at predetermined levels (set by healthcare professionals individually) an encrypted message and QR code will be sent to an app containing your tracking data, enabling doctors to identify the severity upon arrival and alerting named family members the same way.
No external power source
The nanotechnology is designed to include self-powered biofuel cells, which utilise stores of chemical energy in the form of glucose or lactate for example. This design will convert the stores to electrical energy via electrochemical reactions, meaning no external charging will be required and no effects of fatigue felt by the wearer.
Cost effective
With a product lifetime of 2-5 years, during which time thousands could be spent on hospital stays and tests for those requiring constant monitoring. Over the course of years, these costs overall become greater than that of the manufacturing and implantation of this device, meaning in cases of sepsis development as well prevention by early monitoring can save thousands.
